Empowering the founders building tomorrow.

Azmon Nimrod Business Incubator is a forward thinking business incubator based at the heart of the iLembe District and operating throughout South Africa. The organisation exists to bridge the gap by connecting entrepreneurs with the knowledge, networks, finance, markets and support they need to succeed.

Our story

Building businesses. Creating opportunities. Transforming communities.

South Africa has no shortage of entrepreneurial talent. What many aspiring entrepreneurs lack is access to the opportunities, skills, networks and support needed to transform great ideas into sustainable businesses.

Azmon Nimrod Business Incubator (ANBI) was established to bridge that gap. Since our founding, we have grown into an organisation that helps entrepreneurs, and especially women and youth, gain the knowledge, confidence and resources to build businesses that create jobs and strengthen local economies.

Based in Groutville, KwaZulu-Natal, our work extends far beyond traditional business incubation. We deliver integrated enterprise development programmes that combine entrepreneurship training, business incubation, skills development, investment readiness, market access, digital innovation and green economy initiatives that open real economic opportunities in communities that are too often overlooked.

Through strategic partnerships with government, the private sector, higher education institutions and international development agencies, ANBI designs and implements programmes that respond to real economic challenges while creating measurable social and economic impact.

Today, our work spans entrepreneurship development, renewable energy, agroecology, enterprise support and youth employment pathways. We have supported emerging enterprises, empowered entrepreneurs from rural communities, implemented internationally funded programmes and contributed to global conversations on enterprise development through recognised research and thought leadership.

At ANBI, we believe that every successful business has the potential to transform a family, every entrepreneur has the potential to transform a community, and every thriving community contributes to a stronger, more inclusive economy.

We do more than incubate businesses. We help build the founders and the enterprises that South Africa’s future depends on.

Questions, answered

What founders ask about ANBI

When was ANBI founded and where is it based?

ANBI was founded in March 2023 and is based at the corner of the R102 and D270 in Groutville, Stanger (KwaDukuza), in the iLembe District of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.

Who does ANBI support?

We support South African MSMEs and emerging entrepreneurs, with a particular focus on youth, women and rural founders across many sectors. We work with founders at every stage, from idea to a growing trading business.

What makes ANBI different from other incubators?

We pair hands-on incubation with an in-house team across mentorship, compliance, market access and enterprise development, and we work specifically with the realities of rural KwaZulu-Natal. Our impact has been recognised with an international award.

How many businesses has ANBI supported?

Since 2023 we have supported more than 400 entrepreneurs and incubated over 100 businesses. We have also trained more than 100 women and youth in renewable energy, and our work has been recognised with an international award from the International Council of Small Businesses.

How do I apply or partner with ANBI?

Use the form on our Contact page to tell us about your business or your organisation. Our team responds within a few working days and books a discovery conversation from there.
